Leonard H. Cohen, C. Jeffrey Cook, Kevin M. Kinne and David E. Valicenti were lead partners in their areas of specialty at Berkshire County's oldest and largest law firm when they decided, effective January 1, 2009, to create a new law firm with offices in Pittsfield and Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

The practice of the new firm is focused in the areas of law in which the partners and other lawyers in the firm have significant expertise. The firm serves clients located primarily in Massachusetts, eastern New York, southern Vermont and northern Connecticut. The firm also regularly serves clients located elsewhere in the United States and handles matters that involved national and international business and litigation issues.

Michael did an outstanding ob for me and ultimately won a settlement. Hired Attorney Michael A. Rivkin

Michael Rivkin is a sincere and highly skilled lawyer whom I was fortunate to find at a very low point in my life last year. I could not have asked for a more effective or compassionate legal advocate to defend me in my ordeal. From the start Michael treated me like a partner: I always felt like we were in it together, but I had a very smart lawyer doing all of the fighting. It was the greatest feeling. He kept me informed, listened to my concerns, and answered my calls and emails promptly. My adversary was quite nasty, and Michael was unflappable and unimpressed by his tactics. He was awesome. Some of the things I appreciated most about Michael: he always gave straight, thorough answers to my legal questions, and he treated me with compassion and respect, always. This is a sincere, conscientious man who is also a skillful lawyer. I was very fortunate that he fought for me, and I cannot recommend him more highly.

Hired Attorney Michael A. Rivkin

Working with Attorney Micheal Rivkin was one of my best decisions I ever made , he woule always keep me updated on what was going on and what he thought we should do next. I was asked how I felt and how I wanted to move forward. Everytime he was going to call me he did, when I had to call his office he would always answer the call himself and greet me by name. Micheal never made me feel like a just another client. I thought this case would go on for years but we closed it with check in hand in under 2 years and got an amazing settlement. Micheal wish you all the best. Best Attorney Ever !!

Hired Attorney Dennis G. Egan Jr.

Dennis has successfully guided through many real estate transactions, both acquisitions and divestitures. Without his talent, my ability to protect my interests is greatly decreased. Dennis is constantly bringing an experienced perspective that attorneys on the other side of the deals don’t seem to bring to the table. In a number of transactions, I see that the other party on my deal uses Dennis for their next deal in many instances. To me, that says a lot.
