Leonard H. Cohen, C. Jeffrey Cook, Kevin M. Kinne and David E. Valicenti were lead partners in their areas of specialty at Berkshire County's oldest and largest law firm when they decided, effective January 1, 2009, to create a new law firm with offices in Pittsfield and Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

The practice of the new firm is focused in the areas of law in which the partners and other lawyers in the firm have significant expertise. The firm serves clients located primarily in Massachusetts, eastern New York, southern Vermont and northern Connecticut. The firm also regularly serves clients located elsewhere in the United States and handles matters that involved national and international business and litigation issues.

Hired Attorney Michael A. Rivkin

Attorney Rivkin was literally the only person to gave listened to me case and had taken it seriously. Before, I went to about 3 different attorneys and all 3 said there was nothing they would do for me. Attorney Rivkin heard my case, and I heard back within the week as to whether he'd be able to help. My case wasn't exactly an easy one but he got the results I was looking for. He even replied to my email when he was out of office. His way of explaining things were great and easy to follow. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone struggling with employment law issues.

I've had to have lawyers represent me in different aspects in the past, so I know what it's like to have to find one that you trust. I found Michael while doing an online search of employment lawyers and gave him a call. He called me on a Friday evening and he listened intently to everything that went on and described how he could help me. He kept me informed every step of the way throughout the process. I knew I could trust him to call with any updates, to listen if I had questions and answered everything and more. He's incredibly knowledgable and honest. That's something everyone should want in their lawyer. He's compassionate and knows from experience the trauma situations like this can bring onto an individual. Attorneys Mike Rivkin and Dennis Egan were awesome My case was business related and very complicated. After leaving my company due to medical issues and working with sneaky conniving people causing contract breech, unlawfully withholding funds , Mike and Dennis got me out of my company. I also got the money I deserved. They are both patient and very understanding. Mike really cares (who i worked with the most) and it showed. Extremely satisfied and would recommend both attorneys without any hesitation. They are wonderful!!!

Hired Attorney Michael A. Rivkin

Michael Rivkin was exceptional. I was involved in a situation where legal counsel was needed and even though Michael was not the first attorney I spoke to, he appeared to be the first that was confident to handle the complexity of the situation. Michael was dependable. He would respond immediately. I never waited for an answer regardless of the intricacy of the question. At one point, I did throw an unfamiliar obstacle his way. Michael rolled up his sleeves and educated himself on the topic and found a solution. Michael was heartfelt. He genuinely cared about my wellbeing and my future. Michael settled my case and if needed again I would contact him without hesitation.
