Will I have to share my 401K if I filed for divorce?

Divorce lawyer at The Law Firm of Jessica M. Cotter, P.L.L.C.
If you were contributing to this 401(K) prior to your marriage, and ended your employment with that employer prior to your marriage, then it would be separate property. If you contributed to the 401(K) after your marriage then there may be a community interest to a portion of it. You should consult with experienced family law counsel to discuss these issues.

How do I answer the petition and request my car and maiden name pro-se?

J Matthew Catchick

Divorce lawyer at Catchick Law, P.C.
You need to file with the Court AND serve your ex with what is called an "Answer" to the Complaint for Divorce, wherein you respond to each of the numbered paragraphs in his Complaint for Divorce. As for your car and restoration of your maiden name, you need to make sure both of those things are properly addressed in the "Judgment of Divorce," which is the final document divorcing you, and confirming the division of your assets and debts.
