After a voluntary departure can I travel again to the US?

Justin Wang

Immigration lawyer at Sheppard Mullin
Voluntary departure means you were not removed so you will not be subject to the 10 year bar. However, your criminal conviction will have a negative impact on your visa application.

Can my husband get a work permit if he has a felony?

Answered by attorney Francis John Cowhig (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Francis John Cowhig
It is not a simple question that can be answered on this type of forum. There are many factors that would need to be considered and evaluated. Your husband may have some major problems including illegal re-entry and a drug charge that may make him inadmissible from returning to the U.S. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced immigration attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your husband's situation. He/she would then be in a better position to analyze his case and advise you of his options.
