When can I fill out the N-600 if I have a passport?

Answered by attorney Louis M. Piscopo
Immigration lawyer at Law Offices of Louis M. Piscopo, APLC
You can go to the USCIS website at USCIS.gov and click on Forms. Then scroll down to N-600 and click on it. From there you can print the form and also the instructions on filing the form, including what documents are needed. You should be aware that if you have a U.S. Passport you do not need to file for an N-600. A valid U.S. Passport is proof of U.S. Citizen.

Do I have to maintain my M-1 st status once I file for AOS to permanent resident if I am marrying a USC?

Justin Wang
Answered by attorney Justin Wang (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Sheppard Mullin
answer: You do not have to maintain your M1 status once you file AOS. You will lose your M1 status if you stop going to school. However, if your AOS is approved eventually, you will be fine. If your AOS is denied, you may be put in removal proceedings as you are not in legal status.

Answered by attorney Patrick Lee Jarrett (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Jarrett & Price, LLC
If your girlfriend is a US citizen and you entered with inspection, you likely qualify to apply for an adjustment of status after your marriage. You should speak with an immigration attorney to review your case. There are many factors to consider including your criminal history, your fiance's income, etc.
