Can my parents sponsor my fiance?

Answered by attorney Kevin L. Dixler
Immigration lawyer at Law Office of Kevin L. Dixler
The possible challenge, if any, will be whether your fianc is likely to become a public charge. In addition, there will be other financial requirements upon marriage and filing for adjustment of status that may complicate matters. I recommend an appointment with our office. I have handled marriage visa cases for 18 years. However, I also appreciate that some prefer to overlook the complications built into the fianc and marriage visa petition process.

You would need to travel there or he would have to travel here so you can meet in person, then you can either get married there (or here if he can travel here), or you can bring him here on a fiance visa to get married to you here (but you have to have met in person first).

What is the waiting period for an F2A visa?

Answered by attorney Isaul Verdin (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Verdin Law
You need to apply for US naturalization as soon as you are eligible because the waiting period is much shorter as compared to being a Permanent Resident. As an LPR the waiting period can be about 4 years.
