I started Guardianship proceeding for my autistic son. It was not being contested. It took five years to get this done. In the meantime the first attorney I dealt with left and never told me. Months and months would go by before I would hear anything from them and then only after I called and threatened to report them to the Prepaid Legal Services.

This law firm has been a part of The NYSTA plan for many years, I enrolled years ago as a teacher with the NY city school system. For many years, this firm was available for consultation and I was always more or less satisfied. Since we moved to NJ in 1990, I found that the firm did not provide the easy access that it once boasted. Also, I had contacted Feldman Kramer in the hope that they could recommend a few competent attorneys much closer to my home. They never did.

OMG - what nightmare to obtain basic information about changing medical plans to Medicaid, the prerequisites in entering a nursing home, etc. All I wanted was basic info. so that I can then know my options. I was willing to pay and, even with that, they would not help. They keep stating that the person-in-question for which inquiries were being made for had to be spoken with. So much red tape for general questions? Is this office for real? I was willing to pay full cost for consult.
