DUI offenses

Your Georgia probation could revoke the balance of your probation- meaing you go to jail- based on a second DUI arrest.  Probation starts the day you enter your plea.  10 months is very unusual.  Its almost always a 12 month sentence.

Can requirements for getting your license back after a DUI go void?

Answered by attorney Laurie A. Schmidt
DUI/DWI lawyer at 5280 Law Group
In Colorado, I would say that it is not likely that this will just go away and there could be a probation violations outstanding. If the court ordered your father to complete a certain amount of AA's or treatment, that was a term and condition of probation with the courts, if it was not finished, there could be a probation violation still outstanding. The DMV will not issue a license until the probation violation case is resolved. It would be wise to contact the DMV and courts to clear up all unresolved matters and obtain a new license.
