I am on disability and i applied for a public defender i was told i didnt quailify.i cant afford a lawyer what do i do

Michael Todd Hampton

DUI/DWI lawyer at M. Todd Hampton, P.C.
If you did not qualify for a public defender, you will have no choice but to hire a lawyer or to represent yourself. It is generally not advisable to represent yourself. You may be able to afford a lawyer, some are cheaper than others.

I got caught driving on my limited permit in Georgia. My court date for this is 3 days before I can get my license reinstated. What should I do?

Answered by attorney Evan Austin Watson
DUI/DWI lawyer at Zeliff Watson Attorneys at Law
Quite simply, you need to either hire a defense attorney or get a public defender to represent you on the new charge of limited permit restriction.  Unless the charge is amended, you are facing an automatic license suspension, again.

What can I do if my roommate may be going to jail for awhile and I can't pay the rent on my own?

Hudson Thomas Bair
Answered by attorney Hudson Thomas Bair (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Kapsack & Bair, LLP
Um, either get your roommate to pay you for the month (s) they will be in custody before they are incarcerated, otherwise, you should probably get them to move out and/or arrange storage for their belongings and start looking for a new roommate.
