Is it legal to video tape my neighbor who is harassing me?

Answered by attorney Jared Christian Winter (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Jared C. Winter
You really haven't provided any details about the situation. Videotaping is legal as long as the person being videotaped is in a place that they do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. So, videotaping someone in the front yard is usually legal. Videotaping a person in their backyard, or inside their house, is usually not.

What will happen if I filed a police report on my mom?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
In Colorado, she can be charged with a class 4 felony, Identity Theft. She will likely end up with a felony conviction and probation (unless her prior record is bad, then prison is possible). It is possible that she could be charged in Tennessee too.
