Can my neighbor accuse me of drunk driving?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
Were you charged? If so, then you need to hire a lawyer immediately. The neighbor can say that he just saw you driving 5 minutes (or whatever) before police arrive. They arrive and give you tests and determine you are intoxicated. You can definitely be prosecuted.

Can police search my vehicle without a warrant?

Answered by attorney Paula Wasserman Drake (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Offices of Paula Drake
Since you admitted to the hit and run the car can be impounded as evidence in the crime. They can do an impond search without a warrant. Did they find anything on the search that could result in other charges? You may need to consult an attorney before things get worse.

What is the maximum you can get for attempted armed robbery?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Clayton Lockhart (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Lockhart Law Firm
A conviction for an "attempt" usually carries the same penalties as a conviction for the completed crime. In Mississippi the maximum penalty for an "armed robbery" is life in prison, thus, a conviction for an "attempted armed robbery" would also have a maximum sentence of life.
