Does a DUI count as a second one if I got my first one in another state?

Answered by attorney Andrew Stephen Roberts
Criminal Law lawyer at Roberts Law Group
It will count as your first DUI. The Court and DMV only look back 10 years. You still need to notify DMV within 10 days to deal license suspension issues. You should also retain an attorney to get you through these hearings.

What do I do if I have a warrant for a DUI?

With a good lawyer you have a good chance. The nice thing is that since it is a misdemeanor you MIGHT not need to show up and can have the lawyer appear, at least initially to see what they will do. If bad news you can blow the whole thing off IF you stay in FL.
