Your question requires an attorney consultation. It is not a simple question that can be answered on this type of forum. There are many factors that would need to be considered and evaluated. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced criminal law attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your arrest. He/she would then be in a better position to analyze your case and advise you of your options.

What can I do if I’m facing a charge of theft and my other stuff they attempted to take back but it was mine?

Answered by attorney Terry Alan Nelson (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Nelson & Lawless
What can I do? Defend the charges as best you can. When questioned, arrested or charged with any crime, the proper questions are, can any evidence obtained in a test, search or statement be used against you, can you be convicted, and what can you do? No amount of free 'tips and hints' and advice from here or elsewhere are going to effectively help in a legal defense. If you don't know how to represent yourself effectively against an experienced prosecutor intending to convict, then hire an attorney who does, who will try to get a charge reduction, diversion, programs, or other decent outcome through motions, plea bargain, or take it to trial if appropriate. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. I?ll be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be.

If a person is receiving military benefits after the death of a spouse, are they still eligible to collect benefit for them self and children?

Answered by attorney Mark T. Peters (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
If you are not entitled to receive the benefits if you are remarried, it does not matter if you don't register in the U.S. The children should still be able to receive their benefits.
