If you have a warrant, you will need to turn yourself in to get it taken care of. Make sure you have an attorney first to represent you.

If there is no criminal activity that can be articulated by the police, the search should be unreasonable. If there was significant traffic coming to and from the room there may be a reason for the intrusion or if there was a complaint that there was illegal activity taking place the police may have grounds. If someone was arrested there may be a suppression issue.

Is going pro se in a criminal case a good idea?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
NO! You absolutely must have a lawyer. Although there is the "presumption of innocence" in law, it is not in reality. You cannot speak for yourself. You need a VERY experienced lawyer representing you.
