Can the police stop that kid on the street for attempted robbery, search him and arrest him?

Edward D Flint
Answered by attorney Edward D Flint (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Edward D. Flint Attorney at Law
A police officer can detain a person based upon reasonable suspicion that the person is involved in criminal activity, based on the totality of the circumstances. If the police officer had already received a report to be looking for the suspect specifically, or someone meeting his description, and the basis for detaining that person.

What do I do if someone broke into my apartment?

Criminal Law lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
The criminal 2nd degree felony, a 15 year possible punishment, will take many month to resolve. The police may or may not find all or part of the items taken. You can go look in local used furniture stores for items and call the police if you find any. That will probably help to tie the perpetrator to the burglary. You can stay in touch with the victim advocate at the local state attorney's office, and make sure that you are informed of any intended resolution of the case which should include restitution.

How do I erase misdemeanor case from the record?

Answered by attorney Harley Ives Gutin
Criminal Law lawyer at Gutin Wolverton
You can move to seal or expunge the record. You can do it yourself but there are filing fees and some procedures to follow.
