That's the government. They are starved for money and are looking under every rock to find it. Doubtless they will charge you, and you will probably suffer some additional punishment. Nowadays, the government seems more interested in imposing fees/fines/assessments/financial penalties than they do actual punishment. So, bring your checkbook to court.
