You cannot file bankruptcy on most student loans and if you are co-signer you will be responsible for these debts. Also, the lenders are probably reporting the non-payments on your credit reports so you should help as much as possible to protect your credit

First of all, you need to consult with your attorney about this matter. If you reaffirmed the debt, yes they can go after you for a deficiency judgment. If you are unable to pay, and the car is repossessed, and the bank gets a lifting of the automatic stay, and they get a deficiency judment against you, it will be good for 20 years if they record it properly. You see there are many things that your attorney can help you with, on this one issue.

You under an obligation to review your bankruptcy petition and ensure that all creditors are listed. It is not your attorneys fault that your car lease was not included. That being said, you must file a motion to reopen your case if it has been closed, file an amendment to the bankruptcy petition adding your car lender, and filing motion to assume the lease. This may or may not work considering there is a deadline within which you must assume or reject your leases. My office would charge $2500 for the service. You may be better off to simply continue to pay your lease payments and if the car company attempts to repossess you can sue in state court since you're not in default of the agreement.
