Maya Shapiro, Esq.

Being an attorney is something I’ve worked towards my entire life. I am passionate about helping people navigate legal issues, and believe personally in all the cases I take. Owning a business is another passion of mine that has been engrained in me since childhood; my parents have been avid business owners since immigrating to this country, and I am devoted to continuing their legacy. I enjoy giving people the personalized care they deserve by owning a small business, and want my clients to know that we are there for them through all aspects of their lives.

Anna Shapiro responded in a timely manner, was up front about expectations and the intricacies of filing a suit in Massachusetts as an employer at will state. She still got the job done and was able to get a settlement that was fair in a short period of time. She also has a great team of supporting staff that were available when needed. When I first contacted Anna about a consultation to go over a termination agreement my former employer wanted me to sign I was expecting little to nothing other than whether or not I should sign the document and what that would mean for me. After describing to her why I felt I was terminated and that I felt discriminated against she suggested that we pursue getting some compensation. She was very honest every step of the way, she said that we should go into this process expecting nothing to come out of it but she felt there was a good chance of recovering some compensation. Through the entire process she was sure not to get my hopes up about a settlement in my favor including on the final day of negotiating with my former employer. In the end, the settlement ended up being 5x what we were willing to settle on. If you are looking for an honest and trustworthy lawyer, look no further! Anna went above and beyond what I was expecting in a professional and timely manner.

Ms. Shapiro and her legal team assisted me with a wrongful termination settlement in Massachusetts which is an “at will” employment state. Regardless, I was not compensated appropriately and hired Shapiro Law. The case was settled quickly and fairly with very little effort required from me. Her team handled all of the details carefully and professionally. I would highly recommend them if you feel that you were not treated fairly in the workplace.

I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with the services I received from Shapiro Law Group. Anna was very attentive to my case and worked hard to achieve the results in my favor.
