Maya Shapiro, Esq.

Being an attorney is something I’ve worked towards my entire life. I am passionate about helping people navigate legal issues, and believe personally in all the cases I take. Owning a business is another passion of mine that has been engrained in me since childhood; my parents have been avid business owners since immigrating to this country, and I am devoted to continuing their legacy. I enjoy giving people the personalized care they deserve by owning a small business, and want my clients to know that we are there for them through all aspects of their lives.

My case was a leap of faith at a time when laws were upended and change was the norm. Attorney Shapiro listened to me, reviewed documentation that I sent and was always forthcoming with updates on activities. Attorney Shapiro also provided me with the pros and cons of options so that my decision making was my own and well informed. Attorney Shapiro exceeded all my expectations. My case was a wrongful termination and discrimination case, as I was laid off shortly after requesting PFMLA leave. During our consultation she validated that I had been wronged by my previous employer, and took the time to discuss the nuanced and sensitive aspects of my case. The whole process took several months to play out and she was extremely professional and communicative throughout. Where Attorney Shapiro really shined was during the negotiation of the settlement. She was in constant contact to guide me through as we rejected the first several low ball offers. By the time negotiations were through, we had a fair settlement! Thank you Attorney Shapiro!!
