BUT ROBERT BASKIN PAID HIMSELF OVER 20,400, AND WHEN HE WENT BACK TO COURT HE TOKE IT UP ON HISSELF TO PAY HIS MORE MONEY TO CLOSE OUT THE CASE 2009. BUT NO ONE TOLD Him TO HOLD THE MONEY FOR ONE OF MY SISTER DAUGHTER UNTIL SHE TURNED 21, THAT WASN'T PART OF ANYONE'S REQUEST.. THEN HE OPENED A OFFICE ON A STREET IN OXNARD CA WHEN HE FOUND OUT THE HOUSES WHERE NOT CHEAP. AND ALSO PAID SOMEONE THAT'S NOT MY MOTHER CHILD OR GRANDSON, IN FILLMORE CA, OR SANTA PAULA CA. DIDN'T THINK I NEW ABOUT THAT. BUT OH I DID. SO HE'S A LAIR AND A THIEF. AND HE PAYED THAT PERSON $24,744.. HE OWES MY FAMILY ESTATE A LOT OF MONEY.
During the years of 2020 to 2022 my "twin sister" suddenly passed away, my best friend of 30 years passed, and I was caught in the midst of isolation due to COVID. I was extremely depressed. Then I learned that an organization I was affiliated with was asking me to engage in illegal activities, discriminated against members of the LGBT community, and people of color. As the executor of my twin-sister's estate, as she had promised, I was confronted by a greedy group of people. However, due to COVID19, finding an attorney to help me with that issue, and that of the battle with the organization was almost futile. However, I was blessed with a wonderful attorney that took over the handling of my twin-sister's estate. However, after being told I had a great case by BASKIN, he insisted that $25,000 would be sufficient to pursue my case. I can assure you, without my twin-sister there to advised me I didn't know what to do. I finally gave in, and it was the worst decision; he lied,
When you are the victim of discrimination, harassment and verbal humiliation, the worst possible outcome is that you suddenly realize the advocate you chose to stand up for your rights against your assailant is just as malevolent. At the time I was not in a good place, and extremely distraught over the untimely death of my "twin sister" as well as feeling overwhelmed by the weight of the loss of so many other victims who suffered similar issues with the same employer. Although I agreed to engage his services, I EMPHASIZED the inadequacy of my financial means, and that every caution had to be acknowledged with what little resources I did have. Within less than sixty (60) days later, Attorney Baskin racked up an additional $40,000 in fees -- and nothing had even been filed. I could never have prevailed against my assailants at the financial rate I was being billed. So I had to end the pursuit of my case. In the end I can only say that I would never, ever recommend this firm.
He solicited me to retrieve monies he had found that was part of my late brothers estate. After 2 years of trying, he only got half the money promised, then kept it all. Will never use him again, and would never recommend him to others.
Absolutely the worse attorney made all sorts of confident speech when first deciding to retain him or not. Never followed through with anything and was more concerned with a previous clients out which he never indicated to me there was such a conflict of interest. Only concerned about his own bank statements and doesn't provide any real beneficial outcome. Highly disappointed after trust this "lawyer"
