Do I need legal representation for open container violation or can I fight it on my own?

You should hire a lawyer to try and make sure this does not go on your record. Most lawyers would charge a reasonable fee for a case like this.

Will a wet reckless show up on my DMV print out?

Absolutely. The charge will show on your DMV record and is priorable as a DUI for ten years (that is, your next one within ten years would be a second DUI conviction, with harsher penalties). However, the DMV will not resuspend your license after the Court conviction. That is, there should be no further action on your Driver's License subsequent to whatever action the DMV took after your Administrative Per Se Hearing (or after you allowed your Temporary Driver's License to expire).

What do I do if I got a DUI last night?

Answered by attorney Joshua James Price
DUI/DWI lawyer at Defending Rights Law Center
You or your attorney must request a DMV Hearing within 10 days, otherwise your license will be suspended after 30 days from the date of arrest. Yes, I strongly advise you consult with and hire a DUI attorney to fight your case.
