Jill sat down with me and went through multiple options and what would be best for me! The process was relatively painless. If you want someone to lie to you go see a marriage counselor!
Her inability to work for her client was evident in her communication, action and inaction. I understand playing the devils advocate due to her knowing the court system but to talk down to me and make me feel stupid and unimportant was unacceptable. She also lacked the fire needed to be an effective lawyer. She minimized my concerns and gave me no support or direction with issues that were of great importance to me. EX: death threats & confirmed tainted liquor, fraud & forgery by ex-wife.
My experience with Ms. Hayes handling my divorce has been devastating. The purpose for this review is to help prevent other potential clients from selecting subpar representation. I put my trust in Jill Hayes to guide me through the most challenging time of my life. As a result, my livelihood has been destroyed because of her negligence. I was told I'd receive a settlement after the divorce was finalized. My funds were not available, and it took Ms. Hayes 7 months to find answers as to why I wasn't able to receive them. I was charged 15 minutes for every email and phone call requesting an update, tripling the amount owed after the divorce was finalized. I hired another attorney who was able to find the answers I needed in one week's time. I was unable to get the funds I was told I would receive at the time of settlement because of Jill's extreme negligence. This has caused extreme financial/emotional distress as I am now barely able to provide for my family.
