Hired Attorney Ruth Lavada Vernier

I knew that my marriage was at an end, and I needed someone to help me navigate my divorce. I was ready to give up everything just to get out of my marriage as quickly and bloodlessly as possible. Both Ruth Vernier and C. Tenille Duncan listened to my story, understood my plight, and told me that I owed it to myself and to my future to not roll over and give up. And so I didn’t. I put my full faith and trust in Ruth Vernier and her team. As my advocate, Tenille made sure I landed on my feet with access to assets and with a secure future. Bottom line: Vernier and Associates listen, advocate, protect, and deliver. I highly recommend them.

Everyone work so hard on being the saving grace that I needed in the time of need. I was recommended by a really good friend and choosing Vernier and Associates was the absolute best thing I could of done for my well being and safety. Coming out of a 10year marriage that I did not work (stay at home mom) Vernier and Associates helped me with being able to afford to hire them and to fight for me and my kids safety.

Hired Attorney Ruth Lavada Vernier

I found Vernier and Associates firm to be great. I primarily dealt with Tenille who was the best lawyer I could have asked for; very communicative, provides sound advice backed by real cases and a years of experience. Working with Ruth was also a positive experience. I found Ruth to be very warm and will not sugar coat things, which I appreciate. I would definitely consider this law firm again and have already recommended them to a couple of friends in the area.

Ruth tried to fight for everything she could get for me and she got most of the stuff she asked for but my ex and his father were liars, cheaters and hide a bunch of stuff. my kids and i didnt get alot but i walked away with what i could get. I loved her staff

Ruth and her team did a great job representing me. I am a single father whose children live with their mother and a string of "uncles". My oldest daughter turned 12 and my other daughter was 7 and both asked to live with me. I went to several lawyers until I found Vernier and Associates and immediately hired her and the team. The battle went on for 4 1/2 yrs. Ruth proved that I am a good father and that I provide for my kids. The court system did not care and the Judge decided to leave the kids where they were. I learned that if both parents are good the court system does not care about your kids and what they want. Ruth did a great job and kept the judge from taking all my assets. The original possession order stands with only a small change in child support. (sixty days later and my ex is getting her second divorce after me, making her total of 4 divorces).

Hired Attorney Ruth Lavada Vernier

She overcharged me on three separate occasions and had I not caught her errors I would have been overcharged by thousands of dollars. She failed to accurately explain to me what was mediated during our mediation session. I was very unhappy with what she negotiated. She originally filed the papers in the wrong county. I found her to be very incompetent and the cost of her services was way too high--especially for the results I received.

Absolutely the Worst Experience in my first time divorce case, STAY CLEAR and go with your gut! She talks about her past accomplishments and cares nothing about you and your life, "no elephants on the table". They take weeks to respond to emails, the office won't respond when they are on a 4 day wedding trip (supposedly), closes early for someone being sick in the office. At meditation Ruth was completely oblivious to my case file, told me to "hush" when I questioned about certain demands from both counsels, all she wanted was $15k for her and $15k to the respondants counsel and pay my wifes outrageous credit card bills that I had no idea what the minimum payment due was. 2 days after meditation when I called her and questioned her about my frustration, she told me "you wont beat me up" and quit on me. That was a huge relief until I received her final bill, over $17k spent hiring them and I'm no further along than before. She should definitely consider retirement at 78.

Hired Attorney Ruth Lavada Vernier

If I could provide zero stars I would. I hired Ms.Duncan in September to handle a simple QDRO. I paid $300 for a consultation and a $3500 retainer. I started emailing and calling mid November for an update. (I divorced at attorney so I know how the process should have gone.) I finally heard from Ms.Duncan and her email was full of excuses and lawyer double talk. I waited another month and then emailed her again. Nothing. Finally I emailed the firm off of their website hoping Ms.Vernier would contact me. Nothing. Finally I wrote an email demanding her to complete the process or refund me $3800. I got her attention then. I got a copy of letter in my email declining to continue forward and a copy of the refund of $3800 that was being mailed to me. I then I hirer a local family law guy in Montgomery and $200 later the process was done. The whole experience was like a Jerry Springer moment.
