Fellow: Nanci Clarence is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and was the 2007 President of the Bar Association of San Francisco. Before founding her own firm, Ms. Clarence was a litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco and an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the Northern District of California. Chambers USA's report on Ms. Clarence in 2007 described her as follows: “a 'go-to lawyer in the Bay Area', the 'fabulous' Nanci Clarence focuses on defending clients against allegations of securities fraud, antitrust and environmental crimes. In 2008, California Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald George appointed Ms. Clarence to the statewide Commission for Impartial Courts Task Force on Public Information and Education. Previously, the Chief Justice appointed her to the California Supreme Court's Advisory Committee on Lawyer Regulation, and United States Senator Barbara Boxer appointed her to serve on the Senator's federal court appointments review committee. Ms. Clarence also was appointed by Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker in 2006 to the Northern District of California Committee on Professional Conduct. She served as President of the Bar Association of San Francisco in 2007.
