The firm is the direct successor to a partnership established in 1899 by George Edmondson Maddox and Colonel William S. McHenry. Over the years, attorneys who had been partners and associates of the firm have served in various capacities in the judicial, legislative, and executive branches of the State of Georgia and the United States and as members of the Georgia Board of Bar Examiners. Attorneys presently in the firm concentrate in various areas of the law, enabling it to offer a wide range of legal services to its clients. In 1999 the firm opened an office in Cedartown, with Michael D. McRae and Robert T. Monroe as its resident attorneys, to expand the geographical base of its practice. The Firm strives to provide the highest quality of legal services, individual attention and effective counseling to its clients.

Jule Peek has represented me for over 10 years and I definitely recommend him to anyone looking for solid, strong representation. He has represented me multiple times in family court for my divorce, ongoing child support issues, and ongoing custody issues with my ex-husband. In mediations and in court, he has persistently pushed for what was best for my children and me with great results. I have worked with the attorneys at MSP for many years. I have worked with opposing counsel against them in litigation cases, I am currently working with them with my company's litigation firm and have also used them for several personal matters. The attorneys are all very professional and excellent in their field of legal expertise. Their staff is also professional, willing to help with any matter and promptly responsive to questions or need for assistance

As a Realtor I have had great experience with the firm. The closing are always professional and all parties have a very smooth experience. Prior to being a Realtor I was a commercial real estate lender with a large regional bank. In my region we used this firm as our primary recommended closing attorney. They also handed many of our foreclosures.
