Do I have a case for malpractice if the doctor cut my cyst twice when he shouldn't have?

Answered by attorney Andrew Tyler Velonis (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Andrew T. Velonis, P.C.
Usually, a sebaceous cyst is no big deal. I don't know why the doctor "cut it twice" but perhaps there was a reason. Then there's the question of how the abscess came about and why the MRSA developed. You will need to get copies of your medical records and have them reveiwed by a professional; abscesses and infections can happen for a variety of reasons. While malpractice may be in the picture, it is also possible that you may not be able to show that it caused the later problems.

What should I do to get a court date for personal injury?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Learned Espinosa (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Graves & King LLP
Since the party is in the military, the case will be stayed (suspended) until the party returns from duty and is able to move forward with the case. I would appear for the court date and advise the Court of the status.

Can I sue for an auto accident that happened two years ago?

Joseph Isaac Lipsky
Answered by attorney Joseph Isaac Lipsky (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Personal Injury Law Offices of Joseph I. Lipsky
The statute of limitations for negligence actions, including car accidents, is four years from the date of the accident. However, pursuant to Florida law, in order to recover damages for your pain and suffering, in addition to your out of pocket medical bills and lost wages, your doctor needs to determine if you sustained a permanent injury within a reasonable degree of medical probability. Generally speaking, it is in your best interest to consult with an experienced personal injury attorney shortly after your accident so that all evidence may be obtained, while it, and witnesses recollections, are still fresh.
