Do I have a case after I found a roach in a burger of the most popular burger chain?

Normally, I reccomend that everyone get a lawyer. However, since you were only mildly sick and did not need a dr, it would not be worth a lawyer's time. See if they offer you $1,500 and if they do, take it.

If I fall in a state building, who is liable?

Although your situation is very unfortunate, and understandable, it is not one in which liability can be readily established. Here's why: although it can be said that the facilities "furnished the occasion" for your accident and resulting injuries, it would not seem to be the "proximate cause". This is a legal nicety, I know, but it makes a substantive difference:although the room arrangements were inconvenient, it is hard to say that they constituted a hazard; it can be said that the proximate cause of the incident was your reaction to the arrangements of the room, rather than the room itself. If you had fallen because you had been furnished with a chair that they knew was in disrepair and likely to fall apart, then you would have a case. As it is, if you try to make a claim, they will contend that if you had been calm and careful, you would not have caused this accident. To top it all off, you describe it as a "state building". I don't care what state you are in, they will fight this tooth and nail.

Do we have a case if there was no rug or sign at the entrance of a fast-food chain where I slipped and hit the floor?

They had a sign but you did not pay any attention to it? you ought to sit down with a PI lawyer and let him examine all the facts. You may or may not have a claim .
