Can I file a case against both the Airport Authority and Flight Authority claiming compensation?

Answered by attorney Gregory M Janks (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Gregory M. Janks, P.C.
This pretty clearly is not a question of Michigan law! You will need to consult an attorney in the jurisdiction where the incident happened to see what Bangalore law says about such a situation. Further complicating these air travel cases are the terms/restrictions of the Contract of Carriage, so you need to read your ticket (or more likely go to the airlines website where they refer to the 100 or so pages of terms of the Contract of Carriage). Now you can perhaps argue that the Contract is inapplicable to your status as a business invitee on the airport property. Even so, it is a general rule of law (no idea about in Bangalore) that there must be some negligence on the part of the premises owner that caused/contributed to your incident and you haven't stated any facts as to whether there was/wasn't such negligence. Also consider any escalator manufacturer/maintainer if there was something about how it operated that caused your incident. Also bear in mind that damages usually have to be significant enough to warrant the cost, time and effort of making any claim/filing any suit.

Who is at fault if someone backed into my car while I was double parked?

Answered by attorney Brian Joseph Bourke (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Gilbert & Bourke
I am not sure if it allowed to double park where you were, however, your car was not moving so the other driver should have avoided it. In California we have comparative negligence which may be the case here, that is, the negligence of each party is compared an a percentage of fault is assigned to each.

Seeing an attorney with the details, but, under the circumstances which you were provided, it would appear that you have a very limited and in fact probably no cause of action in Michigan.
