Hired Law Firm
Mr. William Winfield was very helpful in providing me practical questions for my upcoming debt review. He is polite, courteous and non-judgmental, which I appreciated.

Hired Law Firm
We hired Mr. William Winfield in 2011, as we were in the midst of losing our home, and decided to file bankruptcy. We had many questions to this decision. During our consultation, Mr. Winfield calmed our nerves and reassured our doubts. We were represented better than I could have imagined, as we kept our home. This year 2019 I needed a document , that again was no hassle to receive. We "Highly recommend Mr. Winfield".
I really have never given anything excellent across the board, but in this case, it is indicative of my association with Stuart. He has been extremely attentive and patient as well. He listens and responds quickly and will help advise you along the way if you so desire, but will also very much listen to the customer. In this case, me.
Extremely professional and knowledgeable from start to finish. His approach, tactics and ability to read my ex and her lawyer were right on. As a business owner used to driving everything I came to respect his skill set very quickly and had a very positive collaborative relationship through this adventure. Always felt his work was justified and came with accurate accounting of his time. Given his expertise and efficiency I believe his fees were a bargain for the agreement he negotiated.
Highly professional and extremely diligent in his approach. I have worked with Mark Nelson for many years and his strategic thinking is second to none. Exceptional attention to detail and he really fights for his clients. Excellent court presence as well.
I interviewed no fewer than six other attorneys before choosing Mark Nelson. I believe Mark is one of the top three divorce attorneys in Ventura County. I have found both Mark and his paralegal, Kim Weber, to be extremely professional, knowledgeable, experienced, personable, responsive, cost-conscience, and caring.
Very good in court. Well known and respected by judges. Handled complex case as well as I could have expected, and at a reasonable cost. Impressed with his ethics.
My case was tedious, time-consuming and complex. Mark's professional knowledge and skill lead to settlement, though he thoroughly prepared for litigation, had it been necessary. For nearly two years, he effectively prevented inappropriate increases in support payments and legal fees. His knowledge of law, business and psychology further complement his problem-solving skill. I highly recommend Mark A. Nelson.

Martindale-Hubbell® Client Review Ratings™ display reviews submitted by individuals who have either hired or consulted the lawyers or law firms.
The Client Review Rating score is determined through the aggregation of validated responses. People who submit reviews are either individuals who consulted with the lawyer/law firm or who hired the lawyer/law firm and want to share their experience of that lawyer or law firm with other potential clients. Reviewers can be anyone who consults or hires a lawyer including in-house counsel, corporate executives, small business owners, and private individuals.
Martindale-Hubbell validates that a reviewer is a person with a valid email address. As part of the review process, respondents must affirm that they have had an initial consultation, are currently a client or have been a client of the lawyer or law firm identified, although Martindale-Hubbell cannot confirm the lawyer/client relationship as it is often confidential. The content of the responses is entirely from reviewers.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome and Martindale-Hubbell accepts no responsibility for the content or accuracy of any review. For more information on Martindale-Hubbell Client Review Ratings, please visit our Client Review Page
Martindale Peer Reviews
Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are the gold standard in attorney ratings, and have been for more than a century. These ratings indicate attorneys who are widely respected by their peers for their ethical standards and legal expertise in a specific area of practice.
The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
