The Roberts Family Law Firm was created in 1995 in Orlando, Florida, by attorneys David Robold and David Roberts. Friends since attending law school at the University of Florida, these two lawyers shared a common desire to create a law firm that could achieve a high level of success for its clients by emphasizing an aggressive approach to the practice of law.

Our practice focuses on divorce, family law and bankruptcy law. Over the years, we have developed a reputation for aggressive representation that gets results for clients.

Hired Attorney Mr. David Thurman Roberts

While Mr. Roberts demonstrates strong legal knowledge, I cannot recommend him to anyone seeking compassionate or transparent legal services. Over 15 months, my case was delayed four times, resulting in legal fees exceeding $120,000—nearly $50,000 more than his initial estimate. These costs included $44,000 for expert witnesses he insisted I retain and $15,000 in trial expenses. Despite my concerns about costs, Mr. Roberts pressured me into avoidable delays and charged excessive rates for secretarial, paralegal, and attorney work, much of which was unnecessary or duplicative. Mr. Roberts’ conduct was often unprofessional, accusing me of using my grandmother’s death to reduce fees, suggesting I "needed therapy," and threatening to withdraw if payments were not made. Ultimately, he withdrew just 10 minutes before a key hearing, leaving me unrepresented and without promised financial relief. Instead of an advocate in my time of need, I felt disrespected and financially exploited.
