We came to Summit Defense and got Rabin - we presented him with a felony assault case with some jagged edges (domestic violence, child endangerment). There was a strong police report. Rabin saw the weakness in the case, however, and persuaded the DA to drop all charges - a wise decision by both sides. Still, that wasn't an easy thing to do, I bet, and it saved us in so many ways. He explained everything clearly before we got started and didn't sugar-coat any of it. I appreciated that.
Rabin did not explain the process well and promised more than he delivered. I watched him try and negotiate a settlement with the DA the day of my court appearance; he was reading the details of my case in the courtroom. Despite errors in the DA's case, he got few if any concessions despite it being a first time offense. I accepted the settlement to put it behind me but believe I could have done better with less pain if I had been better represented.
