After a dismissal of my OWI charges in Waukesha County, I told Attorney Hayes that I knew when he walked into court that he commanded respect. He skillfully peeled away the officer’s supposed justifications for the investigation and arrest at a motion hearing. The judge granted our motion to suppress all evidence, leading to the complete dismissal of all charges. I was arrested for operating under the influence after going the police station to pick up a friend who had been arrested for operating under the influence and was being released. Mr. Hayes said it would take a number of motions and quite a fight but that this was a case that was worth the effort. He was right. Over 15 months after my arrest the case was concluded with an amendment to reckless driving which will be removed from my driving record after 5 years. An operating under the influence conviction stays on a record for 55 years. Mr. Hayes did exactly what he said he was going to do. He did a great job!
