What can I do if my father was deported?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
Your father's situation is complicated and cannot be analyzed on a Question Board. Recommend you pay for a consultation with an experienced attorney to properly advise you and him. You will need copies of his criminal convictions and deportation orders to assess his case. An attorney can help you obtain these if you don't have them.

Answered by attorney Bruce A. Coane (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Coane & Associates, PLLC
If you continue to live outside, it can be 8-16 months and longer. If you're in Afghanistan or Yemen, it can be many years. If you happen to come and visit and are in Houston or San Antonio, it takes 2-4 months.

What are my options as a college graduate to get a visa?

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn
Immigration lawyer at Law Offices of Kenneth G. Wincorn & Associates, P.C.
if your period of training is passed, you are defined as an overstay. If less than six months you can leave with no bar to returning, if more than six months but less than one year there is a three year bar from returning if you leave now, if over a year the bar is 10 years   If you marry a citizen (a real marriage, not fraudulent) you will be able to adjust your status. Call if we can help.
