If I am a US citizen, how can I help my deported father return legally?

You can ask the government to waive the penalties for unlawful presence and permit your father to re-enter the U.S. after deportation. The process is long, and not free. Before starting it, ask an immigration attorney to evaluate your chances of success.

As you probably know, when you got married, the first application that your father filed for you was automatically revoked.  There are no permanent visa categories for married children of residents.  When your father naturalized and filed a new application for you, it was in the category for married children of citizens.  The only way for you to retain your earlier priority date is if the same petitioner (your father) filed an application for the same beneficiary (you) in the same visa category.  Since your current application was filed in a different visa category, you cannot retain your old priority date.   Please contact an experienced local attorney for more information.

Can you tell me how long it will take for them to get their visas?

Because of your recent acquisition of U.S. citizenship, the petition should automatically convert to a first family-based preference. The government is currently working on cases received on or before April 1, 2007 (priority date). As such, you are looking at a possible wait time of 3 to 4 years.
