Should I sponsor my parents in another country or when come to visit me?

Pablo Husayn Nossa
Answered by attorney Pablo Husayn Nossa (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Nossa Law Office, P.C.
You should proceed with consular processing. Having your parents enter on their visitor visa and then applying for adjustment of status contravenes the purpose of the visitor visa. The timing for consular processing is anywhere from 7 to 9 months give or take. For adjustment of status, it depends on what jurisdiction you are in. In Houston, family based adjustment cases are moving fairly fast, on average between 3 and 4 months. The filing fee for consular processing is about $900.00 plus the cost of the medical and police certificates. The filing fee for adjustment of status is $1490.00 plus the cost of the medical. Attorney fees carry from $1500.00 and up for both processes.

In an N400 interview, can they ask me at the naturalization to proof my marriage was real?

Yes, they can ask whatever they want. If they deny your case, however, for an inappropriate reason, you can appeal that decision.

I would like to apply for the DACA program but im not sure if they would accept my pennfoster high school diploma.?

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn
Immigration lawyer at Law Offices of Kenneth G. Wincorn & Associates, P.C.
We have not had any difficulty getting approvals for clients with high school diplomas. As long as the school is accredited it should be acceptable.
