Would it still be possible for her to petition our family under her name if she only has a green card?

Answered by attorney Myron Russell Morales (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Quan Law Group, PLLC
If you are asking if your Aunt can be a financial co-sponsor, then yes that may be possible. If you want her to be the petitioner on an I-130, then no that is not possible. Also, these petitions can take tens years or more to complete.

What's faster, employment based or family based petition?

You cannot submit a joint I-130/I-485 for a sibling. You can sponsor him as the sibling of a U.S. Citizen but those petitions generally have a wait time of 10 - 12 years If your brother is either from China or India, even an employment based application by his employer for a "Green Card" will likely take 10-12 years given the large amount of petitions from these countries. Your brother should consult with an Immigration attorney familiar with these areas of law to advise him on how best to proceed.
