Your question requires an attorney consultation. It is not a simple question that can be answered on this type of forum. There are many factors that would need to be considered and evaluated. The short answer is that it will depend on why he was deported. Was he here illegally? Did he overstay his visa? Does he have a criminal history, and if so, what was he convicted of ? Since we do not have all the facts, it is impossible to give a meaningful answers. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced immigration attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your husband's situation.

Can I still get citizenship if I am not married to a United States citizen?

Answered by attorney Reza Athari (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Reza Athari & Associates, PLLC
I assume you are a US citizen. Being married to a USC does not make you a citizen. There is a process you will go through with CIS. If you have not filed any petition yet, there is nothing pending with immigration and therefore no immigration benefits.

How can I bring my husband back so I can take care of him?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
Unless he has a criminal record, has previously been deported or overstayed in the U.S. and then returned this is a straightforward process of you petitioning for him and his processing overseas at the consulate in Ciudad Juarez.
