The law firm of Schnipper, Britton & Stobaugh was originally established by James Bussey Wood and George Washington Murphy in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1875. The firm has been in continuous practice in Hot Springs since that date. The firm and its following members have continuously enjoyed a reputation of practicing the best possible law consistent with the Rules of Professional Conduct. The firm has produced three Judges, the last of which was the late Chancery/Probate Judge, James W. Chesnutt.

I used John Stobaugh to work on a child custody issue I had with my ex and he fought so hard for my rights and my children. He was very responsive to calls and answered any questions I had about the process and Court. He also did my mom's last will and testament and also did a great job for her. I would definitely recommend John Stobaugh or his firm for any legal need.

John Stobaugh did a wonderful job helping from start to finish with my divorce. John explained the divorce process very simply for me to understand. He was able to get me everything I asked for. John made me feel like I was important to him not just as a client but as a person needing assistance. He was available to me whenever I had questions or concerns about the process or paperwork.

Absolutely disgusting won’t even respond although he’s the lawyer over my mothers estate case. Has been so rude to my family and refuses to call anyone back. The receptionist is rude at the office as well. No respect at all from these people. It’s sickening.

Hired Attorney John S. Stobaugh

This man will tell you exactly what you want to hear and will not defend you. He is quick to tell you he was a former prosecutor and it shows in his work. He capitulates to the existing PA and judge "On court Day" and tells you that you need to plead after telling you he is prepared. Prepared! Prepared to sell you out. Never responsive to direct questions, never says anything until the day of the trail. Except of course to say whatever to string you along thinking he has your back when actually he is placing the knife in your back!!
