Kenny Leigh & Associates is a law firm with an office in Gainesville, FL. At this office location, there are 2 lawyers practicing alimony, appeals, child custody and 11 other areas of law.
He began representing my son who is in the military - blew threw the retainer in no time and then waited over two months to reply about billing then said they would not take payments (fact is NOT in their retainer) in the meantime racked up additional almost $2k in fees, then withdrew from case. only thing accomplished was filing the complaint - no visitation set, no child support, nothing. I have worked for lawfirms in my state for 35+ years and have never seen anyone worse!
A total scam ! They advertise 24 hours return calls. I spent 5000 and got nothing. Went on holiday for two weeks and they canceled my case. DO NOT CALL THEM !!!!
This was the worst experience of my life. Not only did they not have their house in order but it was their terrible handling of my case that caused me to have to continuously fight to see my children. They are more driven by the almighty dollar than seeing that families are together. I was better off going to court and representing myself. At least then I would of had some sort of chance. I cannot believe this company can stay in business this way.
This firm will charge you a fortune and just file a bunch of paperwork that they won't follow up on. They don't research your case. They do not return phone calls and emails. When they are ready to dump you as a client they send you an email and just don't cash your payment check.
Please don't waste your money. Hire a different attorney.
I was given horrible legal advice which ended up costing me tens of thousands of dollars and after all that was given false billing so they don't have to give the remaining balance of the retainer.
Several issues with double billing and billing errors. No communication with clients. Poor representation, unprepared. Failure to obtain information from concerned parties. No depositions obtained to strengthen case.
Makes you think you are hiring him, but then gives you off to an associate. Does not communicate with you about the status of your case. When you reach out for information he charges you for every second that you speak with him or an associate. Does not lead the case in the direction that would be obvious. Will dump you the very first time you have trouble paying his huge prices.
