Hired Attorney

Mixed. Her services to the public guardian of Humboldt county, and to its conservatee clients, were sometimes very good, but at times gapingly incompetent. She sometimes made egregious accounting errors which led to loss of conservatee's funds. Court documents she files also sometimes confused delegation of specific trust powers with the appointment of a delegate trustee, suggesting that the latter was required for the former (it is not), went out of her way to act on behalf of third parties who were acting contrary to conservatee's interests, and filed certain court briefs with strangely mixed-up numbering of sections. All in all, not always wrong, but highly unreliable.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
