I got a DWI .09 and cops also found a really small amount of cocke how bad you think my case is?

DUI/DWI lawyer at Francis John Cowhig
It depends on how small the amount of coke was. The DUI has the potential of being reduced to a wet reckless charge depending on the test given to obtain your BAC. The coke, depending on the exact amount, may or may not be a serious problem. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced criminal defense attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your situation. He/she would then be in a better position to analyze your case and advise you of your options.

How does a deferred sentence affect a minor application for college(DUI)

David B. Harrison
Answered by attorney David B. Harrison (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Miller & Harrison, LLC
It really depends on the college, but in my experience I have nto seen it result in a person being declined by a college. It is possible they will require an alcohol program by the new student when he gets to college, of course.

If I had blood drawn and the results read .08 alcohol in my system, was I legally intoxicated?

Answered by attorney Edward Jerome Blum (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Law Office of Edward J. Blum
That may be enough to arrest, but alone it's not enough to tell whether you were either intoxicated or .08% at the time of driving which is what the state needs to show. Problems with blood tests are their machines aren't accurate and the blood sits out unrefrigerated for days before its tested. This can cause fermentation. Fermentation increases the alcohol in the blood when tested.
