If your boyfriend is being charged with DUI in Colorado he should consider retaining a DUI attorney. Depending on the case, there could be viable defenses and potential assertions of his rights that should be made. Providing a bit more time would allow you to find an attorney that your boyfriend is comfortable with and many attorneys may allow a payment plan in this situation.

What is your question? Are you concerned about his driver's license being revoked or the fact that he is an alcoholic and may harm your children, because it makes no sense to be concerned about both. If he cannot reach the alcohol in his truck and he was not impaired, the accident will not impact anything. IF he could reach the alcohol, or he had alcohol on his breath, then he may have a problem.
