If I have a 1st offense DUI and blew a .27 will I go to jail or can I just pay fines?

Hudson Thomas Bair
Answered by attorney Hudson Thomas Bair (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Kapsack & Bair, LLP
Depending upon your county you may, or may not, have to do jail. You need to call a DUI defense attorney in your area to determine whether or not you will go to jail, sentencing alternatives, or maybe even have defenses that can reduce the charges or get your case dismissed. Not everyone arrested for DUI gets a DUI, even high blood alcohol concentrations can be won by a good, knowledgeable attorney.

Is there a warrant Not if you still are not due back in court on the completion date. Go to the court clerks office and check your file. If need be, go into court and request more time for good cause.

Unless you can prove how the car came to be by the side of the road without you driving it, you can be charged and convicted with a DUI.
