Can I stop giving voluntary contributions to my wife whom I am separated from?

Bruce Provda
Answered by attorney Bruce Provda (Unclaimed Profile)

Was this a legal agreement? If you signed an agreement the end date would be within the document. You should go over the document carefully with an attorney to determine termination terms.

Are there reasons why a wife wouldn't get a 50/50 share of assets ?

Morghan Leia Richardson
Answered by attorney Morghan Leia Richardson (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Richardson Legal PLLC
This question doesn't really provide enough information. If you, as the Wife, did not pay the mortgage (because you maybe were taking care of the kids and running things at home, but not working), your contribution is still valuable, but it may not rise to 50% ownership of the marital home. Certainly you would be entitled to your marital share of pensions. Really, more facts are needed to assess the assets you are talking about. Consider talking to some lawyers near you to get a better feel of how they would approach your case.

How can i get temporary support

Kristen Prata Browde

If you have a lawyer that attorney should know how to seek support - and know that waiting two years is often fatal to a support request.
