Generally, your attorney, even if suspended, should assist you with obtaining new counsel or other counsel to assist you while they are suspended, and any funds of yours they are sill holding that have not been used prior to their suspension should be available to be transferred to your new attorney. While you have the right to represent yourself in your custody case, that doesn't mean you should. Get new counsel, with or without the assistance of your suspended attorney.
