Answered by attorney Randy Lee Warren (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Warren Law Group PC
If you have lived in California at least the past six months you can file here, in the county of your residence for the past 3 or more months. You must serve the papers on him.

What should I do if my ex is behind in spousal support payments?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Barbara Peyton (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peyton & Associates
If he has a job get a wage assignment for current and past due support. If he does not have a job but is self-employed, meet with a family law attorney in your area to look into putting him in jail for contempt. There are other remedies a good family law attorney can help you with. You will need a lawyer to handle the contempt.

Can my wife sue me for child support if she has recently moved back in the house?

Answered by attorney Jessica M Cotter (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at The Law Firm of Jessica M. Cotter, P.L.L.C.
If you are not divorced yet, your wife can file for divorce and request spousal maintenance and child support, however, if she and the children are residing in the house it is doubtful she will get either. Check out my most recent blog on the topic at Jessicacotterlaw.blogspot.com. I would consult an experienced family law attorney in your area to seek legal advice regarding this issue.
