Is there anyway I can stop this divorce? How?

No you can not stop the divorce, but you can ascertain your rights to a portion of the assets (retirement, pension etc). Obviously you were together for more than 16 years if you have two grown children. The court can look at the whole cohabitation period for the purpose of dividing assets.

If you buy a house and you get married years later can your partner own the house right away?

The Deed is controlling but Florida has a constitutional provision called the Homestead Exemption, which gives a married person, not on the deed, an interest in the property. It takes a Judge to define specifically the interest.

What legal step should I make if the state child support portal wants me to pay even if I already paid directly to my ex-wife?

Divorce lawyer at James T. Weiner, P.C.
begin paying through MISDU.. immediately contact them for instructions. Assert that you have always paid directly.. then File a motion in the court to confirm that in the future you will make all payments through MISDU and to show that you already paid all past. As a part of that motion ask for your child support amount to be re-evaluated due to your change in income. You could substantially cut your financial obligations.
