You should qualify for a waiver of the filing fee if you deserve it. Petitioner is to be limited in the Judgment to the relief sought in the Petition. The Family Facilitator at your Courthouse will assist you for free in self-representation.

Can I get medical insurance benefits or spousal support through my ex-spouse after the divorce?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Mark T. Peters (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
Medical benefits cut off when you get divorced. You may be entitled to SSA benefits through him. Spousal support may or may not be available. If you are unable to work, then you may have a basis for him paying you that. It is not common in Idaho, but you may be the uncommon situation. You need to talk with a local attorney to go through the details with you.

Does it cost much to look over my paperwork and can I have an estimate?

Answered by attorney Joanna Marie Mitchell (Unclaimed Profile)

If the paperwork is not correct, DO NOT SIGN IT! You could be giving up valuable rights. Many attorneys offer a free initial consultation, during which they could possibly look over the papers and advise you accordingly. You need to consult with an attorney before agreeing to anything.
