Will his wife get everything?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Mark T. Peters (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
He is lying to you. The wife would probably get very little from the property settlement. Think about it. He has only been married for a few months and is already playing around. Dump his sorry behind and find somebody worthy of you.

How to I get my husband to sign papers if he is in prison?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Sherrie Lynn Davidson (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Law Offices of Sherrie L. Davidson LLC
It depends on what papers you are trying to have him sign. In most cases if the other side does not cooperate in some way, you must then file a motion with the court to have the issue heard and possibly signed by the the clerk of the court, depending on the issue.

If one person is on the mortgage and pays the mortgage and another person is on the deed, who owns the house? How?

Answered by attorney John F. Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
The person who is on the deed he is the owner of the property, the person who has executed the mortgage note is liable for the note. Other than that I would need more details before I would render an opinion as to who actually controls the property.
