Answered by attorney Mark T. Peters (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
You will be entitled to child support for the youngest child until he or she graduates high school. You might get spousal support if you have been out of the work force for a while and need some help getting back into the workforce. He needs your social security number because the court keeps track of this information. It is not part of the public record.

How do I file for divorce if my mother has full custody of our chiild

Answered by attorney Charles D. Scott (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at The Law Offices of Charles D. Scott PLLC
You are not divorcing your mother. You simply file a petition for dissolution and have your husband served. Within the petition you will make reference to the fact that your mother has full custody of your child. You did not state how it came to be that your mother has custody, if there was a child protective services  case then you will need to address getting custody in the context of that case which is a separate case. You may ask the court to make them companion cases since it involves children from your current marriage.
